Director, Institute of Molecular and Genomic Medicine, National Health Research Institutes, Taiwan

Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Director of Institute of Molecular and Genomic Medicine (IMGM) at the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), Taiwan.

The National Health Research Institutes, Taiwan is a non-profit and mission-oriented biomedical research institute in Taiwan. Its mission is to advance medical and health research and improve people’s health and well-being. As one of NHRI’s prestigious research units, IMGM is tasked with developing outstanding research programs to understand the molecular and genetic basis of diseases prevalent in Taiwan, with an eventual goal of providing strategies for the detection, treatment, and prevention of those diseases. The Director is expected to provide leadership for the Institute, as well as for research collaboration with other sections of NHRI and outside institutions. Prospective candidates should have strong organizational, communicative, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with others at all levels inside and outside of NHRI. Applicants should have a doctorate (Ph.D. and/or M.D.) in biomedical sciences, molecular biology, genomics or related translational medicine fields and demonstrate a successful record of conducting interdisciplinary research.

Familiarity with global scientific and medical community and the ability to work effectively in Taiwan’s research environment are preferred.
