Director, Immunology Research Center, National Health Research Institutes, Taiwan

Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Director of Immunology Research Center at the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), Taiwan.

The National Health Research Institutes (NHRI) is a non-profit and mission-oriented biomedical research institute in Taiwan.  Its mission is to advance medical and health research and improve people’s health and well-being.  As one of NHRI’s prestigious research units, the Immunology Research Center aims to study frontier translational research of immune-mediated diseases, explore the disease mechanisms of autoimmune disease and inflammatory diseases, and develop novel early diagnostic kits, immunotherapy, and therapeutic drugs.  For more background information regarding this position and the Center can be found at the website: http://im.nhri.edu.tw

The Director is responsible for supervision of research programs within the center, as well as for research collaboration with other sections of NHRI and outside institutions.  Prospective candidates should have strong organizational, communicative, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with others at all levels inside and outside of NHRI.  Applicants should have a doctorate (Ph.D. and/or M.D.) in biomedical sciences and demonstrate a successful record of conducting interdisciplinary research.

Familiarity with global scientific and medical community and the ability to work effectively in Taiwan’s research environment are preferred.
